Sarah Michelle Gellar is an American actress, producer, and entrepreneur, best known for her iconic role as Buffy Summers in the hit television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003). Born on April 14, 1977, in New York City, Gellar began her career as a child actress and rose to fame in the 1990s. She also starred in several popular films, including Cruel Intentions (1999), I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), and The Grudge (2004).
